Tension is not a sign of failure—it is the raw material for your next breakthrough. In this immersive lab, Scarabys Consulting Cooperative shares "magic tricks" for the messy, human side of collaboration.

What you will master:

  • Conflict Transformation & Conflict Resolution: Learn to embrace conflict as an opportunity to deepen our understanding & relationships.

  • Deep Listening: Master the 7 Habits skill of "seeking first to understand" to de-escalate any room.

Why Scarabys?

The first iteration of Scarabys Consulting Cooperative supported the launch of Kheprw Institute in the early 2000s. Our current focus is on transferring skills, culture, and experiences to other organizations and communities, informed by the Kheprw model, ancestral wisdom, and over two decades of community wealth-building work. Our areas of consulting include:

  • Intergenerational Leadership Development: Improving collaboration across generations and building a pipeline of future leaders.

  • Conflict Transformation: Embracing conflict as an opportunity to deepen understanding, trust, team cohesion, and improve outcomes, while addressing it before it turns toxic.

  • People-Centered Organizations: Building an organizational culture and infrastructure with trust, learning, and care for each other at the foundation, while still keeping it real with each other.

  • Art of the Start: Leaning into our agency by starting with the resources and relationships we have and learning as we go.

  • Social Enterprise: Starting and operating social enterprises that create economic opportunity, develop people, and meet critical community needs (healthy food, child care, etc.).

  • Systems Thinking: Stepping back to see the bigger picture of a system to identify leverage points where the smallest amount of effort will yield the greatest results.
